Sector: Lampa 1

Hola Hola Hola!! Today we had cambios! I will be replacing my cousin Elder Dirkmaat as Zone Leader!! I got moved to Lampa today with my new companion Elder Gòmez! I am super excited. I miss my old secter but i am really close so i will be able to do intercambios there.

The last few days of last week were a little rough.

Wednesday I did an intercambio with Elder Sandoval and all of our appoinments died. Everyone was gone or other families were busy no se but we couldnt enter into one house! It was frustrating.

Friday we went to see the doctor. To get to the doctor we had to take a 1 hour bus ride to a subway station, from there take 3 subways to get to the station where we get off and then from there we have to walk about 20 minutes to get to the MTC to see the mission doctor!! We left at 11am started heading home at 5pm-- rush hour... We were waiting about an hour and a half to get on the subway- the subway would stop and one person would shove and push to get on the subway. My companion and I couldnt separate and so we decided to take the subway the other way because it was less crowded and we would go to the end of the metro and get on before everyone else. So we did that... but now we have to pass by 23 stations to get to our station. After the 3rd station a huge crowd of people piled in pushing and shoving and my companion and I were at the back plastered against the back of the subway by a group of girls that were really attractive. We both took out our scriptures and held them above our heads trying to read them. Then the subway started to have problems, we stopped at a station for almost 15 minutes then we left again and it was 15 minutes more at the next one!! It was the hardest thing ever, it was so hot inside and we couldnt move- we could barely breathe and we are trying not to pay attention to the girls that were plastering us against the side of the Subway. So finnaly we get off and walk to the bus station. Get on the bus and it is packed also, we had to stand the whole hour and there was an aweful smell of marajuana. It was an interesting aweful experience.
Saturday in the morning my companion and played soccer with a family of new converts. Another group came and challenged our group to a soccer game. I told them they couldnt cry when they lose. They were gansters or flaites, chorros. We were destroying them in the game but my companion was trying to get the ball away and one of the guys threw himself on the floor and started winning that his leg hurt. He was a bad actor but everyone was around him trying to help him. Our friend saw that my companions bike was missing. The group distracted us and robbed my companions bike. So for the last 3 days we were riding around on one bike. My companion sat on one part of the bike and I was on the other. It was interesting. Saturday night we had a talent show and I was able to play violin for our rama. I played church songs and everyone was very silent it was really neat.
Sunday we were able to have 2 investigators in church and 3 less active families!! We were so excited and we have heard of many stories that day of the progress of a few families. We didnt have much success in Batuco with baptisms but we left many seeds and helped many. It was relly cool to be able to see the progress and the end of the change.
I am super excited to work here in Lampa! I love you guys that you for all the letters!

Zona: Colina
Sector: Batuco

Man this week was a bummer. We worked hard in the week but this last Sunday not one investigator came to church! We had such great lessons and our investigators compromitted to go to the church but it didnt happen ahhhhh it was a bummer! A big Bummer. This last week we did a bunch of contacts and set up many appointments. Hopefully this week they can guadar their compromits.

My cousin Elder Dirkmaat finnished his mision. It coll that he ended but I ham going to be honest I got soooooooooo trunki when he left. I am glad I got to be in the same zone as him. He has been my zone leader for 4 changes. It was an awesome experience with him. He went out with a good 4 baptisms too!! Way to go!

My companion had an interesting experience a few days ago. We were buying things for dinner. We had bikes and we went to this little store. My companion stayed out to watch the bikes and I went in to buy the stuff. It was a small store we could hear and see each other the doors were open. There were 2 guys that came up to my companion and began to talk with him. I was in the middle of paying so i wasnt paying that much attention. One of the guys tried to shake my companions hand but right when my companion was about to shake his hand the guy jerked his hand away from my companion. Then the guy said "No. I am sick of all the lies that your cult spreads. You condemn people to hell." Then he asked my companion if he really believed that Joseph Smith was a profet and saw God and Jesus Christ. My companion told him that he knew it was all true and the guy started laughing and said "right now Joseph Smith is burning in Hell with all the people you teach." He told my companion that he was the devil. That the devil these days is dressed in a white shirt and plaque and that my compaion and I are going to go to hell and burn there with Joseph Smith and the rest of our cult.
It was really interesting. The guy smelled really bad and he had lazy eye in both his eyeballs. Not one of his eyes was lined up. The guy was really weird. Everyone in the store was looking at us. It was an interesting experience.
As missionaries we are so much more sensitive to Satan and the things he uses to attack the world. Many of the little things its crazy. I dint pay much attention before but now its so clear how satan works.

I dont have much esle to say about the week. We worked hard but didnt accomplish much. The trial of our faith is all as the scriptures say in Ether.

Hola hola hola!! Esta semana fue mucho mejor que el otro! My companion and I spent alot of time this week trying to contact and find new people to teach. Our sector is a small sector and I am sure that he have knocked  every door haha. One day we had spent hours talking to people, we had talked to a little over 50 people and many would give us their direction and tell us to pass by another moment. It was a bemmer because we wanted to get in and teach!! In the night time this day we knocked on a door and a lady came out and said "Pase!" or "come in". I was stunned! I asked her what her name was and she said we will talk inside. My companion and i are looking at each other like whhhhhhatttt is going on!? They treated us like they knew us so we thought that they must have been members. The couple told us that they were inactive and recently moved from another community a little over 6 months ago! They told us that they are marriend and have 3 kids. They told us that they have been having a lot of problems in their marriage and had been separated for a while and had recently gotten back together less than a week ago. They told us that they wanted to return to the church and be sealed in the temple. We taught the restoration to their family and gave their eldest son a baptism date for the last Sunday in August! It was a miracle that we could find this family we are sooo excited!!

That was our cool story this week!!

Love you guys!
